Mr. Rowell graduated from the University of South
Carolina in 1965 and was formerly with Price Waterhouse Coopers. He was
named as an "Outstanding Young Businessman" by The Charlotte Observer
and has served as the Chairman of the Membership and Chapter Relations
Committee for the NCACPA. Mr. Rowell has an especially strong expertise
in the non-profit area which includes tax, accounting and consulting
knowledge. He also has expertise in the manufacturing, service,
financial, and municipals industries. He believes strongly in being
involved in his community and has served on countless boards and
committees, including President of the Mint Hill Business Association,
President of Independence High School PTSA, Treasurer for Pine Lake
Country Club, and the Chairman of the Mint Hill Parks and Recreation
Committee. He currently serves as treasurer of his church and is a
member of the Board of Directors of Mint Hill Kiwanis Club. Known
throughout his community for his commitment to children through
coaching athletics he coached youth soccer, baseball, and basketball
for over 20 years. He enjoys gardening, walking, golf, and is an avid
sports fan. He and his wife, Linda have three sons and one
granddaughter.
