Mr. Short has been with the firm since 1979 and
is the firm's authority on tax related matters. He received his B.S. in
Accounting from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and has a
Certification of Educational Achievement in Personal Financial
Planning. He is also a member of the Tax Division of the AICPA. Mr.
Short is the past President of the Matthews-Mint Hill Rotary Club and
is a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International. He also serves on the
Leadership team for Butler High School. Mr. Short specializes in small
business and individual tax and accounting issues. He has expertise in
the retail, construction, professional, and not-for-profit industries.
He has special expertise in accounting and auditing for churches
including determination of accounting for church charters, and
endowments. Mr. Short is married and has three children. He is a Sunday
School teacher and Church deacon.
